When he was 11, he learnt that he was a wizard. He finally knew the reason of special things (strange, but special) happening to him.
Once informed of the Wizarding community that lives in hiding from Muggles (the non magic people like you) and of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry he sets out to go to the Diagon Alley through the Leaky Cauldron (which you muggles can ofcourse not see).
He bought his books and robes and went to Ollivander’s. Ollivander’s is where you get the best wands.
After trying a few wands he finally found the one that chose him. This wand was none other than our Pheonix Feather Wand. “A Yew 13 1/2 inches Pheonix Feather Wand”
And the boy who was chosen by the wand was Tom Marvolo Riddle.
With the wand as his aid, he went to Hogwarts, learnt magic (even the Darkest of them all) and set further on his path of Murder with the belief that he will one day rule over the world; muggles and wizards alike.
Then there is a prophecy made by Sybill Trelawny which induces fear in him (though he does not really show it) and he sets out to kill the source of his destruction (even though he believed he was immortal – his fear again).
Everything till this point is fine. The issue begins the night he tries to use Avada Kedavra on Harry Potter for the first time.
From the books we learn that Voldemort’s (the new name he chose for himself) body was destroyed, his soul fled the scene leaving a bit of it latched on to Harry’s.
If I am right, a soul cannot hold material things. This means that Voldemort’s Pheonix feather wand must have dropped in Potters’ house and someone, maybe Dumbledore, when taking out the dead bodies of James and Lily took it.
The most logical thing to do would have been to snap it in two.
Even if that was not done, someone must have took it with themselves.
With all that in place the question that pops in my head all the time is,
“How did Peter Pettigrew come by Voldemort’s wand as he is the one presenting Voldemort’s wand back to him once he gets a body?”
Thank you for completely destroying my faith in Harry Potter as authentic lol. *wryly*
hahah :p
but my question still remains unanswered!
Another big question! Wormtail was probably with Voldy when he killed the potters.. he took it then.
I am sorry but after reading Deathly Hallows we find out that Voldemort was alone the night he went to murder the Potters
Oh? must be my rusty memory. I havent read DH in years.
It is alright. It happens 🙂
Maybe Wormtail got there before Dumbledore did? There was surely enough time, as I don’t think there’s any evidence that Dumbledore went to Godric’s Hollow himself at least until Harry was dropped off at the Dursleys’…right?
I was just suggesting that Dumbledore did but Wormtail’s possibility of going I will have to scratch as Sirius Black was after him, was he not?
It could have been anyone who took the wand and many Death Eaters believed Voldemort to be finished that very night.
